How reviews work here

Every buyer gets the same ask, sent the same way, at the same time. I do not pick who I invite.

Who can review. Only people who bought TimePad. After you pay, your confirmation page and a separate email from me both carry a one-time link. That link lets you post exactly one review. I check the link against a real order before anything is published. That is what "verified purchase" means on this page — it is not a badge I hand out, it is a check that has to pass.

Your email address is never kept with your review. The review system uses it only to send your review link and one reminder, then deletes it. Your review is published with whatever name you type in the name box. Nothing else about you is published.

Everything gets published. Reviews go live the moment you submit them, newest first. I do not read them first. I do not approve them. I find out what you said at the same time everyone else does.

A code for a friend. Every reviewer gets a one-time $5-off code for a friend: one per order, whatever the review says. It appears the moment your review goes live — for one star exactly as for five, because it is for leaving a review, not for leaving a good one. It takes $5 off TimePad, it works once, and you can give it to anyone. Editing your review never makes a second one, and deleting it never takes the code back. The code is worked out from your order number and set up as a single-use discount at Lemon Squeezy, who run the checkout; nothing about you is sent to them to make it. If it ever fails to appear, email me and I will send it.

What I will remove. I will remove a review, whatever star rating it carries, if it:

  1. contains someone else's personal information;
  2. is defamatory, harassing, abusive, obscene, sexually explicit, or discriminatory;
  3. is about a different product or a different company;
  4. contains no comment on the software at all;
  5. I reasonably believe is fake or was not written by the purchaser;
  6. the person who wrote it asks me to remove.

These are the only reasons. They apply the same way to five-star reviews and one-star reviews. I have never removed a review for being negative and I am not going to start; if I did, this sentence would be a lie you could check, because —

Every removal is logged in public. See the removal log Date, which numbered reason above, no names. If the log is empty, nothing has been removed.

I do not trade anything for a good review. The friend code above is the same for every review, whatever it says. If a reviewer knows me personally or has worked with me, their review says so, above the review.
